Artwork created to exist in a certain place. Typically the artist takes the location into account while planning.

"Draw a line with 7 meters of string"

Thought I would keep it minimalistic, by showing the stereotypical image of a 'line', by making it crawl up a wall, straight and black.

However in the middle of it I dyed a 4cm strip red and made it loop. I wanted to suggest breaking out of social norms and every day conventions.

Bringing three games of sport all together simultaneously, suggesting itself as a metaphor for how we all live in an urban environment together

Five a-side football, volleyball and basketball.

They made a piece of work to fit in with the urban environment of Bristol. I thought it was an interesting concept of the 3 sports working together to try and play in harmony. Which defiantly does show aspects of city life. I also thought it was visually very appealing with the pitches crawling up the wall.

Casting

Changing the meaning behind the object.

I loved the amount of detail that showed up and the whiteness of the plaster. I found it a very interesting concept of changing the meaning behind an object, once i casted the toy car, it no longer had use of a toy car but now has a visual use.

Tissue paper and PVA glue, casting a window screw. Half it it broke off, but was able to screw the rest of it off. Picked up dirt from it.

Changing the surroundings around you

Felt as if the the wooden slacks on the wall looked as if they were slanting to the left, thought I would change the perception of the room and string to the what i thought was the correct gradient.

Everyone who saw this piece agreed with the string and started to believe they were actually the slacks.

I put duct tape from the light bulb to floor

Walking around the piece it gave me a sense of nervousness, I think it was because I could feel the static from the tape and also hear it. You could also smell the tangy chemical from it, so it played on all the senses.
